CURRENT RULESET SUMMARY
Last player with a living STATE SECRETS wins. You are eliminated if your STATE SECRETS is captured, all your pieces die, or none of your pieces can move.
STARTING POSITION
Each player begins with 5 pieces on their home face: one Hydra at center, four Fanatics in a cross (up/down/left/right of center).
TURN STRUCTURE
1. Move — Tap a piece to arm it, then swipe to tilt (one cell ortho). Long-press for chess mode (extended movement).
2. Rotate — Only possible if you purchased Cube Rotation Clearance from State Secrets this turn. Long-press any cell → arrows appear → hold arrow to rotate that row/column. Otherwise tap SKIP.
Tube rotation — During your move, long-press any corridor tube to rotate it 90° CW. Up to 5 tube rotations per turn (using all 5 ends your turn).
SCIENTISTS
Each turn, 1 scientist spawns per node cell (the glowing rings) and marches through the corridor network toward the nearest piece-cube. Reaching a piece charges it, increasing its fire rate. Scientists absorbed by Dissidents accelerate all comets exponentially.
Scientists stuck in corridors automatically re-seek piece-cubes every 2 seconds — no manual zapping needed.
COMETS & MISSILES
Comets fall toward the cube continuously. Each piece-cube fires a missile every 30 seconds base (faster if charged by scientists). Missiles are fast and accurate.
Comets that reach the cube irradiate cells — pieces and scientists on irradiated cells die. A split comet becomes two smaller fragments.
Red missiles — once a piece absorbs 5+ scientists, each shot has a 50% chance to be an explosive proximity-fuse rocket that splits or chain-destroys nearby comets. Ministry of Walls piece-cubes never fire red.
Purple missiles (Antisocial) & Green shuttles (Moonshot) — only Ministry of Walls piece-cubes fire these. The two upgrades' levels form a ratio that determines purple-vs-green chance per shot.
STATE SECRETS MENU
Long-press your STATE SECRETS (👻) piece when it has no valid captures to open the secrets menu. Buy upgrades with scientists.
⚠ EXPONENTIAL COSTS: every secret you purchase (of any kind) multiplies the cost of all your other secrets. Reward yourself for building around a path!
🎯 Accuracy (4) — missiles get more accurate per level.
🟣 Antisocial (16) — your Ministry of Walls piece-cubes fire purple homing missiles at enemy pieces. Repeatable: each level adds weight versus green Moonshot rockets.
👶 Natalist (4) — isolated reproduction spawns extra scientists.
💥 Accel (11) — all comets move 5× faster per level (stacks multiplicatively, capped at 20×).
🛸 Moonshot (4) — your Ministry of Walls piece-cubes fire green space shuttles. Shuttles that hit comets establish Moon Bases that orbit and zap tiles into Special Projects. Repeatable: each level adds weight versus purple Antisocial rockets.
🔄 Cube Rotation (10) — purchase to rotate the cube this turn. Flat cost — never inflates, never inflates other secrets. Purchases stack.
🌀 Shape Rotator ABBA Therapy (2) — each purchase grants +1 tube rotation per turn. Stacks.
🚩 False Flag Doubleblame PsyOp (8) — bombers you crush with a piece-cube lower the cost of all your secrets and show "EXECUTED" instead of "SPLAT". Also +10% chance per level that dissident absorption produces a radicalized bomber (global effect, sums across players).
⏱️ Force-Projection Time Dilater (4) — +5 rockets per turn before forced turn advancement, per level.
☢️ Extremophile Hikikomori-Prepper Cultural Revolution (10) — your pieces may traverse irradiated tiles, but you cannot reproduce. Irrevocable — choose your build carefully.
☠️ Kingmaker (free) — eliminate yourself and transfer all secrets to any other player.
SPECIAL PROJECTS
Moon Bases periodically zap cube tiles (never on occupied or piece-cube tiles), creating Special Projects. Max 6 Brush tiles total.
🌳 Punishment Tree — absorbs scientists, grows a branching tree. Each blue bubble periodically shoots pink lightning at nearby comets and deflects them. More bubbles = wilder deflection. Any scientist walking the tube under a tree is forced to exit there and gets absorbed, regardless of the original tube layout. Limit: max 1 tree per cube side, max 5 bubbles per tree (additional scientists pass through).
🔮 Liminal Space — any scientist walking the tube under a liminal is forced to exit there and is caged. The first scientist to arrive permanently activates the tile (dim ring → bright pulsing ring) — no more depletion. When a piece-cube tilts onto an activated liminal, that piece gets an extra tilt move. Bonuses chain — keep landing on activated liminals to keep moving.
🌿 Brush — hides a piece-cube from enemies. Only one piece per brush tile.
